CODING CONSULTANT

Responsibilities
On a project basis, help client companies optimize reimbursement results by conducting thorough reimbursement analyses and building detailed medical coding case scenarios. Educate physicians, device manufacturers and others in the healthcare community to ensure compliance and proper documentation of reimbursement methods.

Required Skills & Strengths

Demonstrated knowledge of:

Federal, state & commercial insurance reimbursement regulations (ICD-9 CPT, HCPCS, DRGs)
  Ambulatory payment classifications (APCs)
  Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology

Proven ability to:

Read & interpret medical records
  Maintain professional standards
  Protect proprietary information
  Work independently

Must be comfortable with aggressive deadlines

Required Education
Coding certification required (e.g. CPC, CCS, AHIMA)

PART-TIME HEALTH POLICY INTERN/ANALYST

Responsibilities
Conduct internet-based research and analysis of Medicare policies related to coverage, coding and payment – primarily for hospitals and physician offices. Review complex federal regulations and guidelines, assist with production of written reports, and issue briefs on related topics.

Required Skills & Strengths

Ability to:

Review & analyze complex regulatory policies
  Suggest policy implications

Proven competence in:

Gathering, processing & synthesizing information from multiple sources
  Written communication
  Web research, spreadsheets

Familiarity with statistical data & data analysis

Required Education
Current graduate student in health administration & policy. Prefer a second-year student.

SONOGRAPHER WITH EXPERIENCE IN OB/GYN HOSPITAL/OFFICE ACCREDITATION

Responsibilities
We are looking for a registered sonographer with experience in achieving hospital/office accreditation (OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts, etc.) to oversee completion of the accreditation of our clients. Candidate may visit hospital/office to prepare them for AIUM or ACR accreditation. While some travel may be required, significant work can be done on a virtual basis from home using email, fax and phone. This is a freelance or contract position.

Required Skills & Strengths

Ability to:

Review and understand accrediting agency's application and standards
  Write and prepare technical reports
  Teach and/or demonstrate accrediting agency's process and requirements to sonographers and physicians
  Review hospital/office operations and make appropriate recommendations toward achieving accreditation

Candidate must be :

Registered by ARDMS
  Experienced with accreditation application submission
  Practicing sonographer
